Classroom of the Future - London

The classroom of the future is a bold attempt to utilise new materials in the construction of a multi use learning centre. As can be seen in the artists rendering, the whole concept is that of a capsule incorporating a lot more functionality than a standard classroom with the addition of a retractable bubble section to allow the external environment to enhance the building ergonomics when the weather allows.

Cladding and feature walling both internal and external, utilising trapezoidal and standard square section gabions. Twenty walls in total some free standing and some attached to the main structure.

The Earth Centre was a imaginative idea to bring some much needed regeneration to the Doncaster area and to showcase environmental concerns for the general public, school children and interested parties. A large project with some very interesting and traditional construction concepts occupying a very large site.
